Leigh Thomas: Single Release

A poster I designed for the Australian musician Leigh Thomas. The poster is based off the original photo of him holding the umbrella. I took that, isolated him, and stylized it in with a fun retro-yet-modern feel. I wanted to keep it simple so I stuck with a very limited color palette with the idea of doing more with less. I feel this limitation makes it far more striking than if it had expanded color options.
Design Concept: Save the Bees

The idea behind this poster was to concisely convey the threat to bees while leading the reader to want to learn more. I utilized a worn “vintage” look to go with the written content of the poster to give it a distressed old sign kind of design.
Design Concept: OrangeG

I was inspired to create this poster for Pittsburgh-based musician OrangeG after seeing some 50s/early60s illustrations. I loved how playful and expressive they were while using limited colors/details. This poster is designed to be a souvenir poster from a a show he performed in August of 2023. I illustrated the caricature of the musician and utilized retro-inspired fonts with a clearly-defined information hierarchy. I then filled the space with retro “do-dads” as was often seen in that era.
Design Concept: Local H

The design for this poster is based off the color scheme for the album it’s referencing. The ventriloquist dummy was used as their mascot for the tour and was used in the original promotion for the album back in 2022. I illustrated the dummy in Adobe Photoshop utilizing a stipple shading technique, which adds significant visual interest to the subject. The text was laid out in Adobe Illustrator and utilizes a distinct visual hierarchy based on size and with the information separated via varying use of color.
